Well since I’m bored out of my mind, I’m going to write something completely random in English, so that I’ll put my mind to work and convince myself that I’m not lazying about. Oh, how I love the weekend and its ‘chill’ air that kills my momentum. I swear, every single time Friday approaches I start making these awesome and productive plans that manage to balance work and study with fun and entertainment… but when I see myself out of school on this day, I instantly turn into a mouse-potato and all my ambitious dreams are replaced by precious time wasted on web browsing.
Coming back to my topic of choice, which is the one and only great Sunday!!! There is something special about this day of the week, if I may take into account the fact that my laziness is at its peak then. Maybe it’s the way it’s supposed to be, you know, being the Day of Rest, when you should be spending your morning in church, listening to the elevating Liturgy and reflect on your spirituality. Sadly, this does not happen in today’s adolescent cultural activity. Frankly, I don’t blame anyone, I wouldn’t even dare to go out on this horrific weather for any other purposes than going to school – please note that if I am desperate to go out in the afternoon/evening, it is probably because I have suffered a severe stroke and I need medical attention. (OH MY GOSH I have such a short attention span, I turned to Facebook stalking in like, what?, 5 minutes?!!)
Alright, let me be more straightforward before I completely forget my idea.
(I really couldn’t help myself. I love this picture, I miss spring and I want it now, so I posted this photo)
I love Sundays because I wake up late, and after a really good night sleep; because I feel completely relaxed all day long, as if time froze for a while; because I don’t have a lot to study and hardly any homework for Monday (well, except English); because it’s the best time to enjoy my favourite TV shows – Nikita and C.S.I New York; because I have the most delicious breakfast of the week. I love Sundays because I can plan them however I want – spice them up or cool them down… they twist to fit the mold that I am in.
Therefore, Sunday may soon become my favourite day of the week.
Have a great weekend! (and please pray for me not the get stuck on the road to Bucharest because of some random heavy snow)
